Alike Year in Review: 2025 Wrapped
Hello Travellers, I’m Supriya, the Senior Manager for Content at Alike, and 2025 has been one of the most fulfilling—and emotional—years of my professional life.
We started this as a side project. What felt like a small passion experiment quietly grew into the backbone of how we think, write, and build at Alike today. None of us predicted how deeply this work would matter—to us, to our creators, and to travellers around the world.
Today, writers from across geographies are composing their travel stories with us. Our global bloggers’ community is rising, and the love Alike’s blogs are receiving—from readers everywhere—is immense. Looking back now, it feels worth every late night.

While the World Made Resolutions, We Obsessed Over Questions
Here’s the thing.
While most people were busy making New Year’s resolutions, we were obsessing over questions like:
- Is Dubai cheaper than Abu Dhabi?
- What should I wear in Abu Dhabi?
- How do I actually get from Dubai to Abu Dhabi?
- What is the best way to travel in Singapore?
- What should I choose, Vietnam or Bali, for my honeymoon?
These weren’t glamorous questions. They were practical and real. And they shaped everything we published.
More writers began writing about us. Creators like Riyanka Roy, whose piece on Ho Chi Minh City is now helping travellers plan their New Year 2026 trips, became part of this growing ecosystem of honest storytelling.
The Momentum That Quietly Changed Everything

2025 wasn’t a year of loud growth. It was meaningful growth.
Over the year, we saw:
- Exponential growth in impressions
- Engagement quadrupled across our blogs
- Readers staying longer—and returning
- An average of ~1.5 minutes spent per blog

That 1.5 minutes matters deeply to us. It means someone paused, trusted our content, and used it to plan something real.
Thank you for reading, returning, and believing in what we write. You inspire us to do better every single day.
When Numbers Started Feeling Like People

Every number here represents a decision. A conversation. A trip waiting to happen. This wasn’t traffic—it was trust.
The Double Up Holidays Moment We’ll Always Remember

Traffic surged. Engagement spiked. For a moment, even the algorithm seemed surprised. But we stayed grounded—continuing to serve content aligned with traveller intent, not hype. Growth followed clarity.
Beyond The Grid Became the Core

The impact has been deeply moving. People wrote emotional emails. Creators expressed interest in contributing. Readers told us our blogs helped them decide.
That spirit now defines Alike.
When Community Became the Strategy

And without naming it at the time, community became our strongest strategy.
The Content Pillars That Truly Worked

Patterns emerged clearly in 2025.
Our top-performing content pillars were:
- Comparison articles (Vietnam vs Thailand, Dubai Metro vs Taxi)
- Day-by-day itineraries Specific plans kept readers engaged longer.
- Celebrity & creator travel breakdowns Only when they were actionable—not aspirational.
- What to wear / what to pack guides: Because clothing anxiety is real.

One insight stood out clearly: People don’t want generic travel blogs. They want actionable intelligence.
Looking Ahead to 2026

As we step into the next year, our intent is clear.
More depth. More intention. More content that helps people travel with confidence.
Because travel today isn’t about destinations. It’s about travelling like the people you like.
And we stand by it – every single day, with every single blog.
