Santa Maria is home to Praia Formosa, one of the only golden sand beaches in the Azores. São Miguel offers black sand beaches like Praia de Santa Bárbara, popular for surfing. Terceira’s Praia da Vitória provides calm waters, perfect for swimming and relaxing.

The best time to visit the Azores is between May and October when the weather is warm and ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, whale watching, and exploring the islands. Winter months are cooler and rainier but offer fewer crowds and lush green landscapes.
