Visiting the Catedral de Barcelona was one of the most impressive moments of my trip. The entire structure is stunning from the very first second — the tall Gothic towers, the detailed stonework, and the peaceful atmosphere inside create a feeling that’s hard to describe. It’s the kind of place where you stop for a moment, look around, and truly appreciate how much history and craftsmanship went into every corner. Inside, the cathedral is beautifully maintained. The interior feels calm, clean, and full of character. The high ceilings, the soft lighting, and the quiet environment make it easy to enjoy the space without feeling rushed. Even though it’s a popular spot, it didn’t feel overcrowded. You can walk around comfortably, explore the chapels, and take in all the details without stress. One of the highlights during my visit was a beautiful performance outside the cathedral: a group of young dancers put on a lively show right in the plaza. Their energy, talent, and enthusiasm created such a positive atmosphere. It added a modern, joyful contrast to the historic surroundings and made the whole experience feel even more special. It’s moments like these that make Barcelona unforgettable — history and culture blending with the creativity of the younger generation. The outside area is also lovely — a wide plaza perfect for photos and videos, and a great place to sit for a moment and enjoy the surroundings. The cathedral itself is truly a landmark that stands out in Barcelona’s old town. If you’re in Barcelona, this is a must‑see. Whether you’re into architecture, history, or simply want to experience something beautiful and peaceful, the Catedral de Barcelona delivers exactly that. I’ll be uploading my videos and photos as well, because this place deserves to be seen. Absolutely recommended — five stars from me.

We visited Barcelona Cathedral around 4:00 PM, and I think it was the perfect time. Buying tickets was quick and easy, with no waiting at all. There were a few visitors inside, but it never felt crowded, so we could explore everything at a relaxed pace. I highly recommend getting the ticket that includes rooftop access. The views from the top are fantastic, with panoramic views of Barcelona, several of its famous landmarks, the port, and the Mediterranean Sea. It was also much cooler and breezier on the rooftop, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Keep in mind that the rooftop closes at 4:30 PM, so it’s worth planning your visit accordingly to make sure you don’t miss it. Inside the cathedral, you’ll find beautiful architecture, religious artwork, statues, and historic details. One of my favorite parts was the peaceful cloister, where there are geese, a small fountain, and a quiet courtyard that feels like a hidden oasis in the middle of the city. There are also areas where visitors can light candles as part of the church’s traditions. The cloister also has two small souvenir shops, which are convenient if you’d like to take home a keepsake. Restrooms are available, but you’ll need coins to use them. Overall, this is a beautiful and remarkably well preserved cathedral. If you enjoy history, architecture, or visiting historic churches, Barcelona Cathedral is definitely worth adding to your itinerary. It offers a much quieter and more relaxed experience than some of the city’s busier attractions.

A stunning cathedral and well worth visiting. I booked my ticket online and in advance, which also included access to the rooftop, which was a lovely bonus. The views from the roof are excellent, and you can see quite a lot of the surrounding city, including towards the mountains. You can either take the lift or use the stairs. I took the stairs, and they are fairly steep, so you’ll need a reasonable level of fitness, especially on a hot day. While I was there, a choir happened to be rehearsing inside the cathedral, which was beautiful to listen to and really added to the atmosphere. The cathedral itself is incredibly impressive, with beautiful architecture and design throughout. Definitely worth visiting for both the interior and the rooftop views.

beautiful church very walkable from la familia segrada. be sure to walk backwards under the arch where there’s a skull embedded.. supposedly it’ll bring good luck. also go up to the top for very nice panoramic views. only 6 people is allowed in elevator each time but wait time isn’t bad about 20 minutes.

The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia is one of Barcelona's most magnificent Gothic landmarks and a must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or religious heritage. Built between the 13th and 15th centuries, the cathedral impresses visitors with its soaring vaulted ceilings, intricate stone carvings, and beautiful stained-glass windows. One of its most unique features is the peaceful cloister, home to thirteen white geese that symbolize Saint Eulalia's age when she was martyred. Visitors should also take the elevator to the rooftop for panoramic views of Barcelona's historic center.
