The long entry along the lava trail is beautiful, check-in was a breeze and their locker rooms are large and full of space for your things.\n\nI brought two smaller bags with the essentials and they easily fit in the locker. Once you’re in the lagoon, there’s so much to enjoy—from the mud mask station (with one included mask and a few fun upgrades—we tried them all!) to the swim-up bar where you can grab a drink and just soak it all in.\n\nThere are also saunas and steam rooms that add to the whole spa-like experience. And one thing we loved—Blue Lagoon is welcoming to younger guests too, unlike some geothermal spas that are 13+, which makes it great for families.\n\nIt’s also super conveniently located near Keflavík Airport, making it a perfect first or last stop in Iceland. Yes, it’s on the pricier side and you definitely need to book in advance, but it’s 100% worth it. We went over Memorial Day so it wasn’t too crowded, but I can imagine it gets busy in peak summer.\n\nOverall, a five-star, once-in-a-lifetime experience that sets the tone for your entire Iceland trip. It is quite embarrassing.\n\nAll steam caves (even marked as a quiet zone) and sauna are noisy as hell. Some of the tourists simply cannot stop talking loud. We had to ask them to speak not loud several times but all people were really noisy and kept talking. A lot of people looked quite uncomfortable. The steam room and sauna are simply impossible to stay. I think this place need more staff to make the space more comfortable.
