Central Park Zoo turned out to be so much more than I expected. ❤️ I visited during a time when I was feeling emotionally drained, and somehow this beautiful place helped me reconnect with myself. There was something incredibly calming about walking through the zoo, watching the sea lions, penguins, and red pandas, and simply slowing down for a while. It felt like I could finally breathe again. By the time I left, I felt refreshed, full of energy, and genuinely happier. It was as if my blood started circulating again. 🌿 The zoo is beautifully maintained, the animal habitats are well cared for, and the entire place has a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the visit even more enjoyable. For me, this wasn't just a zoo—it was my little escape from the noise of the city. It felt like reaching my own version of peace. 🏔️✨ I will definitely come back the next time I'm in New York. Highly recommended! 🐧💚

You can buy tickets at the entrance to Central Park Zoo, either at the ticket booth or from self-service machines. The zoo is well maintained, but much smaller than I expected. It has sea lions, penguins, bears, monkeys, a bird area, and several other animals. There is also a children’s zoo, which is basically a petting zoo. It has a separate entrance, but admission is included in the main ticket. You can buy food for the sheep and goats for 50 cents and feed them, which children really enjoy.

We found it a lot of fun, my kids really enjoyed it and the kids zoo was a fun little adventure too. Staff were all amazing and enthusiastic about the zoo. Little disappointed we didn't see Alex, Marty, Melanie and Gloria 🤣.

An absolute gem in the heart of Manhattan! The Grizzly Bear exhibit (Treena’s Overlook) was a massive highlight, seeing such powerful animals with the city skyline in the background is surreal. They were so active, climbing the rocks and splashing around. The Snow Leopards are equally stunning; they have such a beautiful, rugged habitat that makes you forget you’re blocks away from Fifth Avenue. But the biggest surprise was the Tropic Zone. Walking from the crisp New York air into a humid, lush rainforest filled with free-flying birds, lemurs, and monkeys was an amazing transition. It feels like a total teleportation. Perfect for a 2-hour escape!

First time visit with our kids amd granddaughter. Very cool setting with lots of cool animals experiences. Especially enjoyed the seals, mongoose, lemurs, grizzly bears, and the goats in the petting zoo.
