Really nice place to visit. We arrived on the hottest day in the July heatwave and the cool air inside was a lifesaver. Free lockers locate near the entrance for backpacks and luggage. 3 floors of all animals large and small. Fish, whales, bugs, beetles, monkeys to deers. Easily spent a few hours here. The lighting inside changes as well. Great atmosphere. Not too crowded.

An Impressive and Enjoyable Museum for Families We visited with our children and were all very impressed. The main hall, the exhibition layout and the way the animals are displayed are truly remarkable. From the moment you enter, the museum has a very strong atmosphere, and there is always something new to notice as you walk around. We thought the children might get bored after a while, but the opposite happened. They stayed interested from beginning to end. The museum is visually impressive, educational and full of details that make you curious. It was not only enjoyable for the children, but also a very interesting experience for us as adults. In our opinion, this is one of the best family activities in Paris. Even children who do not usually enjoy museums can easily spend time here without getting bored.

A total highlight of my trip to Paris! The Grande Galerie de l’Évolution is stunning! The displays are beautifully staged, and the lighting creates such an immersive, magical atmosphere. It’s a must-visit for all ages. So much history and truly breathtaking to see. Not far from the metro.

Such a lovely time! Me and my husband had a great visit. The cenography was impressive and gets you immersed in the experience. The quantity of species displayed is impressive. We went on a wednesday morning at opening time, so it was not crowded. I recommend it for families but also for adults as well.

You can buy tickets there, you don’t need to book in advance. There’s a bag check upon entrance. There was no paper map provided, at least not when I was there. Most of the descriptions around the exhibits are in French only too. But the layout is great, the organization of the place is nice and not exhausting, and it’s a very good experience overall.
