Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN). Overall, I found the facility to be one of the most impressive airports I have visited. The environment is exceptionally clean, modern, and well-organized, with clear signage that makes navigation effortless for first-time visitors. I particularly appreciated the efficiency of the check-in and security processes, which ensured a smooth passenger flow. The amenities, including the comfortable seating areas, diverse food options, and designated clean smoking areas, contributed to a very welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, your staff were consistently polite and helpful, reflecting a genuine sense of hospitality. While my experience was largely positive, I did note that the immigration and security areas can become slightly congested due to limited space. However, the availability of free drinking water, functional Wi-Fi, and convenient charging points made the wait manageable and maintained a high standard of passenger comfort. Thank you for maintaining such a professional and high-standard facility. It is an experience I would highly recommend to other international travelers, and I look forward to passing through your airport again in the future

This T3 arrival pickup spot is being designed against humanity. ⛔️ From T3 arrival you'll need to go down floor, walk across the traffic lines while managing all the luggages to reach to exact column that you've book on the ride hailing app. ⛔️ And this is the best part: your driver need to timing exact time you reach the spot to occupy the parking slot, otherwise he needs to keep driving in circle until you 2 got the perfect timing of each other. ⛔️ There'll be no guidance provided. The securities standing there are to check and fine drivers if they park too long (usually because of wrong timing) This design is absolutely joke and the operation there is a mess.

My experience at Tan Son Nhat International Airport was smooth and convenient. As Vietnam's busiest airport, it serves as the main gateway to Ho Chi Minh City and is located just a short drive from the city center, making arrivals and departures very accessible. The airport is well-organized, with clear signage in both Vietnamese and English, making it easy for international travelers to navigate. There are plenty of dining options, coffee shops, convenience stores, and duty-free shops available while waiting for your flight. Immigration and security procedures were generally efficient, though queues can get long during peak travel hours.

Omg let me tell you about my 'terminal hopping' drama so you don't end up lost like I did! ✈️ Navigating here is a whole mission. If you’re flying Vietjet (T1), arrivals are at A1/A2 on the ground floor. The departure hall is right next door check-in downstairs, then head up for security and boarding gates. Pro-tip: If you need to get to T2 from T1 arrivals, just turn left and walk 3-5 mins along the hall. Don't even wait for a bus, just walking 🚶‍♀️ For T2 (International), ground floor for arrival. While you're there, you MUST grab a drink at Highlands Coffee rly famous cafe brand in VietNam. (Col 15 GF). If you're tired, head to the mezzanine (1st floor). It’s my spot with AC and charging ports for a quick nap. 2nd floor for departure 😴 For the new T3, remember: L1 for taxis/bus, L2 for arrivals/private cars, and L3 for departures. 🚨 BIG WARNING: To get the FREE shuttle, you have to cross the road to Lane B (at T1 & T2). I confidently hopped on a green bus thinking it was free, until a lady asked for money. I was on a FUTA city bus by mistake! 😂 Only board the green VinBus with the 'Shuttle Bus' sign. It comes every 10-15 mins, and the ride between T1 and T3 takes about 15 mins. Also, if you're hungry, head to Phoenix Restaurant (T1 Arrivals or T3 Departures). Their Chicken Pho is 10/10! The Salty Fish Fried Rice is also great, but honestly, the Beef Ball Pho was just 'meh'—stick to the chicken! 🍲 Safe travels, besties! Check the bus signs twice! ✨

Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City often gets a bad reputation for long queues at immigration, but my experience was fairly smooth—likely because I didn’t arrive during peak hours. One thing the airport does particularly well is convenience after immigration. The terminal is lined with a surprisingly large number of souvenir shops stretching almost the entire length, along with plenty of food options. Even near the far ends, and the bus gate areas, you’ll still find places to eat and browse. This level of density and accessibility is something you don’t commonly see, even in many major international airports. That said, there’s a clear downside: prices after immigration are noticeably higher, and most items are quoted in USD rather than Vietnamese Dong. While the variety is impressive, you do end up paying a premium for the convenience.
