It’s incredible to think that people were able to create such masterpieces hundreds of years ago, and even more amazing that they have been preserved so beautifully. Don’t miss Napoleon’s Tomb. Located beneath the famous golden dome, it is one of the most iconic and moving places in Paris. This is where one of the greatest figures in French history rests. After your visit, take a walk around the grounds of the complex. The atmosphere is peaceful, elegant, and perfectly complements the history of the site. Brilliant military museum: incredible level of detail provided in both French and English. Also, great niche sections of the museum on medieval weaponry and Asian/Japanese swords etc.

Hôtel des Invalides is one of the most impressive historical sites in Paris and definitely worth visiting. The architecture of the complex is magnificent, especially the golden dome, which is visible from many parts of the city. Inside, the atmosphere is both grand and solemn, with a strong sense of French history. The visit is especially interesting if you are interested in military history, Napoleon, or French national heritage. Napoleon’s tomb is very impressive and beautifully presented, but the museums around it are also worth taking time for. There are many exhibitions about different periods of French military history, with weapons, uniforms, paintings, documents, and historical objects that help you understand the importance of the place. What makes Hôtel des Invalides special is that it is not only a monument, but also a place full of historical meaning. The courtyards, the church, the dome, and the museum sections all create a very rich experience. It can take quite some time to see everything properly, so it is better not to rush the visit. Overall, it is a beautiful, powerful, and very memorable place in Paris.

First friday of each month is opened till 22.00. It is a huge museum and fans of military museums will easily sped here a full day. It is free for under 18, if european citizen. For adults the price is very affordable, 10 Euros. We visited from 19.00 to 22.00 in a hurry and we were sorry that we haven't manage to see it fully. Do not forget to visit the tomb of Napoleon! For us, it's probably to best museum in Paris.

Whilst the main attraction is Napoleon’s Tomb there is much more to visit here. As for the tomb itself it’s impressive, the whole building is beautifully ornate and the fact that you either look down or look up the Napoleon but never his equal is an interesting experience.
