Beautiful abbey. Everything was well marked and clear to navigate. There were so many indications to go on the mont or up to the abbey. To take the bus it said the bus time and the walk time. It also said from what point would you wait up to ten minutes for the bus to come. The bus comes every 5 minutes, everything is well organized. In the abbey 12-2pm is the best time to visit the morning fog has left and the tourists are having lunch. The small tablet for 5€ are worth every cent. They are so useful and tell you everything you need to know about the abbey. It's so instructive and well made I recommend it to the audio guide. The people that work in the abbey are so helpful and the boutique was pretty good. The walk up to the abbey is long but not tiring. This is such a gorgeous place to visit.

Mont Saint-Michel is amazing! Views from the fields are stunning. Arrive early at the abbey to avoid crowds. Shuttles run frequently, which is handy. Parking cost €20 for 5 hours. A small tip: eat outside the castle for better value. We had an interesting trip and highly recommend visiting here!

Give yourself plenty of time to explore the area before entering Mont Saint-Michel. The surrounding village, scenic walkways, and breathtaking views are all part of the experience, so there's no need to rush. You also don't need to bring food with you, as the island offers a wide selection of cafés and restaurants where you can relax and enjoy a meal or a refreshing drink. If possible, plan your visit on a sunny day. The stunning architecture, sweeping views of the bay, and the unique atmosphere of Mont Saint-Michel are even more spectacular in clear weather, making your visit far more enjoyable and memorable.

One of the most beautiful places on Earth, well worth the trip to the edge of Normandy. The countryside on the ride in was idyllic and the first glympse of the Abbey in the distance across the flat, green fields took our breath away. There is plenty to do on the island, between the Abbey, shopping, the draw to photograph everything, it’s easy to pass a day. The food the island was quite good, we enjoyed fresh seafood while looking out over the ocean. Honestly, Mont-Saint-Michele should be on anyone’s bucket list who loves travel and experience manmade beauty.

Honestly I was underwhelmed. Certainly beautiful to look at. Parking is well organized and the 30 minute walk out there is worth it, though the 20 euros for 2 hours of parking maybe not worth it. Shuttle buses were easy with no wait to come back. Overall not much to see and if you don’t go into the abbey you can be through the island in a hour. If you don’t pay to go into the abbey you can’t get very close to it. Town is very crowded filled with tourist shops, a couple of small museums, and a church with free entry. For comparison I found the fort in Dinan much more interesting. Island is not handicap accessible at all once you enter. Lots of stairs without handrails.
