Moulin Rouge

We booked the 21:00 Féerie show with champagne, without the dinner option, as friends who had been before recommended doing it this way. The booking process itself was very easy. We arrived around 19:30, and although the information said the doors would open at 19:45, they were already open. There were actually quite a few people inside before us, possibly guests who had booked the dinner option. What surprised me was the seating. There was no option to choose a table when buying the tickets, and as a group of three, we ended up sharing our table with other guests. This seemed to be normal for many of the tables. Luckily, the people sitting with us were lovely, so it wasn’t a problem at all, but honestly, if there had been an option to pay extra for a private table, I would have chosen it. The show itself was amazing — beautiful costumes, dancing, singing, circus-style performances and some genuinely impressive acts. There’s a lot happening throughout the show, and it was very entertaining from beginning to end. The temperature inside was also comfortable during our September visit, neither too hot nor too cold. And despite the crowds, leaving the hall after the show was surprisingly quick and smooth. Overall, a very memorable Paris experience and definitely something I’m happy we did.

Dancers are fenomenal (female more than male), service and organization is flawless. Enteriour and space is impressive. However, clear quality disbalance between female and male dancers both in quality of performance and appearance (female dancers are topless most of the whow while men are buckled up to the throat, why?) . Additionally, we were hoping for more French cabaret style gigs, rather than circus like acrobatics. Space is not enough and if couples are visiting they should get a separate table. We were sharing table with 4 more people. All said, of course worth a visit of this iconic place.

The show was amazing, not exactly what I was expecting because I forgot that it literally is a burlesque show 😂 I wasn't the only one though because there were quite a few children in the building. The theatre was beautiful. We didn't have dinner which is why there's no rating.

The area around Moulin Rouge is one of the most happening and tourist-friendly spots in Paris. Right in front of the famous Moulin Rouge, there is a Marilyn Monroe-style wind/photo spot where both kids and adults were enjoying themselves, taking pictures, and creating fun memories. The atmosphere around the area is full of energy, with tourists walking around, clicking photos, and exploring the famous streets of Montmartre. It is a lively place that gives you a feel of the entertainment side of Paris. Even if you are not attending a Moulin Rouge show, visiting the area is worth it for the iconic view, the vibrant surroundings, and the fun photo opportunities. It is a popular stop for tourists and a nice place to experience the colourful side of Paris.

I have been to the legendary Moulin Rouge twice, and it is an absolute must-do experience in Paris! I tried both the champagne-only option and the full dinner with a champagne bottle plan. Personally, I highly recommend booking the dinner plan. Enjoying a slow, delicious meal while anticipating the show makes the entire evening feel so much more special. The show itself is breathtaking and hard to put into words—it is incredibly glamorous, making you feel as though you have stepped out of the modern world and into a dazzling, otherworldly dimension. The interior design of the theater is also stunning and worth noting for its historic beauty. An interesting tip regarding the seating: I personally feel that the seats further back offer a better view of the entire stage. On my first visit, we were initially seated in the very front row, but it was so close and intense that my heart was racing! I asked the staff if we could move a bit further back. Since seating is not strictly fixed, they were kind enough to accommodate my request. As for the dress code, you will see a mix of styles. Many guests dress up beautifully, but there are also many tourists in more casual attire. The great thing is, no matter how much you dress up, you will never feel out of place! My friend and I decided to dress up a bit to elevate our mood. Embracing the atmosphere and fully immersing yourself in the experience definitely makes for an even more wonderful memory. As a final practical tip: getting home can be a bit tricky as it ends late. Taxis or ride-sharing apps right outside might be slightly overpriced, but they are definitely the safest and most comfortable option for a late-night return!
