The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi is a state-of-the-art public aquarium. The Aquarium is part of Yas Island and opened in 2018. It features a wide variety of marine life from around the world, including over 300 species of fish, sharks, rays, and other marine animals. The Aquarium is divided into several different zones, each showcasing different marine habitats and species. The zones include a mangrove forest, a coral reef, and a shipwreck, as well as a section dedicated to local marine life found in the waters of the United Arab Emirates. The Aquarium also features interactive exhibits, such as a touch pool, where visitors can touch and interact with marine animals, and a virtual reality experience that allows visitors to explore the depths of the ocean. Additionally, the Aquarium has several photo points that offer great angles and viewpoints to take photos of the animals and the facilities, such as the coral reef, the shipwreck and the mangrove forest. The Aquarium also features a series of educational programs and activities that are designed to teach visitors about the importance of marine conservation and the animals that call the ocean home.
