Putra Mosque, often called the Pink Mosque, is one of the symbolic landmarks of Putrajaya. Since Putrajaya was built as Malaysia’s administrative capital, this mosque is not just a religious site but also part of the city’s national showcase — together with the lake, wide boulevards, government buildings, and planned urban layout. Architecturally, the mosque is certainly distinctive. Its pink dome, rose-colored granite, arches, minaret, and spacious prayer hall clearly reflect Islamic architectural elements, while also giving the building a softer and more decorative appearance than many other mosques. From a distance, especially with the lake in the background, it looks quite impressive and photographs well. However, as a tourist attraction, I found it rather underwhelming. The actual experience is quite limited. Once you take a few photos and briefly look around, there is not much else to do. The interior visit is also restricted, and there is not much interpretation or explanation for visitors who want to understand the architecture, history, or religious meaning in more depth. Putrajaya itself is clean and well-planned, but it also feels somewhat artificial and lacks the lively atmosphere that makes a place memorable as a travel destination. The mosque is meaningful as a symbol of the administrative capital, but in terms of pure travel satisfaction, I do not think it is worth making a special trip from Kuala Lumpur just to see it. In short, if you are already in Putrajaya, it may be worth a short stop. But I would not say this is a must-visit place.

I recently visited Putra Mosque and had a wonderful experience. The mosque and its surroundings are beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. Compared to Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya feels much calmer and less crowded, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend visiting in the evening, especially close to sunset, when the views are absolutely stunning. There is also a cruise ride nearby, which adds to the overall experience. I really enjoyed walking around the area and taking in the peaceful atmosphere. A must-visit place in Putrajaya for anyone looking to enjoy beautiful architecture, scenic views, and a relaxing environment.

Visiting Putra Mosque was one of the most peaceful moments of my trip to Malaysia. 🕌💕 Sitting beautifully by the lake, the stunning pink dome immediately catches your eye and looks even more beautiful in person than in photos. The architecture is simply breathtaking, with every little detail showcasing the elegance of Islamic design. ✨🤲 Walking around the mosque, the atmosphere felt incredibly calm and serene. The lake surrounding it creates a beautiful reflection, making it the perfect place to slow down, admire the scenery and appreciate the peaceful surroundings. 🌊🌸 Whether you’re visiting for prayers, sightseeing or photography, there’s something truly special about this place. 📸 The interior is just as impressive, with its spacious prayer hall, intricate designs and natural light creating a warm and tranquil feeling. It’s easy to see why this is one of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks. 🇲🇾❤️ If you’re exploring Putrajaya, this is an absolute must-visit. The combination of magnificent architecture, spiritual atmosphere and scenic waterfront views makes it an unforgettable experience. In shaa Allah, I’d happily visit again. 😊🕌

Visited during the public holiday and the mosque still felt peaceful and calming. The architecture is really beautiful, especially the pink dome and tall minaret against the clear blue sky. The prayer area was clean and comfortable, and the wudhu area was also well-kept and easy to access. Overall, a very nice place to stop by for prayers and enjoy a moment of serenity.

The Pink Mosque is absolutely beautiful, with stunning architecture and such a peaceful atmosphere. I had the opportunity to pray here, and it felt truly amazing and special. It was also lovely to see that women are welcome to pray inside the mosque too. Outside the mosque, there are also some small kittens that the nearby shop kindly feeds, which was really heartwarming to see! However, some of the kittens looked extremely skinny and could really use additional help from worshippers and visitors, especially with food and fresh water. If you visit, please consider giving them a little food or water if you can. 🐱❤️ A beautiful and peaceful place that I would definitely recommend visiting.
