Uneventful visit. Also noting I already went here 2x. 1st time: it was around closing time and I didn't get to really see all the floors. In my more recent 2nd visit, there were new activities upstairs that are still "coming soon" which is quite unfortunate. I rated it 3-stars because for the price to visit, there isn't a lot to see. Not to mention, I went there on a Saturday when there were more people; it's just annoying. Information-wise: Nothing you can't already Google or watch documentaries off of Youtube or Netflix. Lovely tourist trap though. If you dress like a homeless slob, like me, you'd get "followed around". lol. Good to know though, there is an elevator for lazy folks like me. And if it's a sunny day outside, the house is filled with light which makes for lovely pictures. I just prefer to visit this place when I am in A.dam because of the overpriced souvenir sketchbooks at the shop, which gave me a free Kikkoman sauce (with a Rembrandt logo) as a freebie.

I think I have fairly good eyesight, but I felt that the positioning of the lights many times made it impossible to see the paintings either directly, or because of the reflecting glare. Most of the tour you follow the audio guide and at places I would have preferred to read and proceed in my own pace, but I guess it's just personal preference. Other than that it's a nice display and a good experience. Interesting and you get good value. At one point you can even try your skills at sketching a portrait with some instructions, which I thought was a nice touch. Definitely worth the visit.

The Rembrandt House museum in Amsterdam is a must see for any fans of surch art. The museum holds a large collection of artifacts, artwork, etching and paintings by the Dutch master including his workshop and studio where he taught students. We also witnessed an educational presentation on how Rembrandt created paint and applied techniques from metal and earth material. The self-guided tour was informative and the rooms well organized. Highly recommended!!

Visiting the Rembrandt House Museum was a highlight of my trip to Amsterdam. Seeing where Rembrandt actually lived, worked, and taught his students brings his history to life in a way a standard art gallery can't. The restored 17th-century interior makes you feel as though he just stepped out for a moment. Don't miss the live demonstrations—the etching presentation and pigment-mixing demonstration were both fascinating and provided great context for his technique. The audio guide included with admission was clear, well-paced, and engaging. I highly recommend booking your tickets online in advance, as time slots fill up quickly. Give yourself about 1.5 to 2 hours for a full visit!

It was a wonderful experience and truly felt like stepping back in time. You can genuinely feel like you are becoming part of Rembrandt’s world and his history. The museum creates an immersive atmosphere that allows visitors to connect with the artist and his past in a unique way. An amazing experience overall and definitely a place worth visiting when in Amsterdam.
