Sunway Lagoon Theme Park

I had an amazing experience at Sunway Lagoon and it truly deserves a 5-star rating. This is definitely one of the best theme parks in Malaysia for families, friends, couples, and even solo visitors looking for a fun and exciting day out. The park is huge and offers so many attractions that there is something for everyone to enjoy. The water park was one of my favourite sections. The slides were thrilling, the wave pool was fun, and the overall environment felt clean and well-maintained. I also enjoyed the amusement park rides, especially the more adventurous ones that gave an adrenaline rush. The wildlife park and scream park added even more variety to the experience, making the whole visit feel complete and worth the ticket price. What impressed me most was how organised and lively the park was. Despite the large crowd, the staff members were friendly, helpful, and professional. The facilities such as restrooms, lockers, and dining areas were also conveniently located and generally well-kept. There were plenty of food options available, so it was easy to spend the entire day there comfortably. The atmosphere throughout the park was energetic, vibrant, and full of excitement. Every corner had something interesting to see or try. It is truly a place where unforgettable memories can be created with loved ones. I would highly recommend Sunway Lagoon to both locals and tourists visiting Malaysia. I will definitely visit again in the future.

Sunway Lagoon is a fantastic destination for families and offers a full day of fun for all ages. Surprisingly, even on a Saturday, the park wasn’t too crowded, so we managed to enjoy almost every ride without having to wait in long queues. We bought the family ticket using klook and get discount using maybank credit card The park is huge, and getting around is convenient thanks to the train service that connects different areas. We also enjoyed the bird show, which was entertaining and especially great for kids. Among all the attractions, The Storm was definitely the highlight of the day—an exhilarating ride that’s a must-try for thrill seekers! Overall, Sunway Lagoon is a well-maintained theme park with a great variety of attractions, making it an excellent choice for a family outing.

We visited Sunway Lagoon recently as part of our Malaysia family trip and arrived right at 9:00 AM to make the most of the day. Overall, it was a great experience! ​The water park was a highlight—the splash pools and wave pools were excellent. My son particularly loved the FlowRider, which was a huge hit! We also enjoyed the adrenaline of the various water rides and the views from the Suspension Bridge. ​What makes this place unique is the variety. Beyond the water rides, the Wildlife Park (birds, snakes, and other animals) was amazing and well worth the time. On the downside, the horror show was just 'okay' and didn't quite live up to the hype. ​Comparison: If you are coming from India and are used to the high-thrill rides at Wonderla, you might find the specific ride intensity here slightly lower. However, when you combine the water park, the animal encounters, and the overall atmosphere, it is a very complete package. Definitely worth a visit! 4/5 stars.

We bought tickets from Traveloka and saved abt 20% off published rate so it’s recommended to book in advance. Staying at Resort hotel was convenient as there was direct access to the park and there is zero queue. The park is huge and likely need more than a day to complete if you enjoy it at every part. There was a zoo, water park and dry theme park all in one. We enjoyed feeding the animals at the zoo where the multi feed packs are affordable starting from RM15. Highly recommended for families and young adult friends to visit.

The last time I went to Sunway Lagoon was in 1999. The park had expanded 10 times bigger since then and made much improvement. This park is so much better than six flags in the United States. We only had time to do the water slides. The slides were all so fun! The surf beach was awesome! The wave party was at 4:30pm and it was a big party. I felt like I was at a rave party 😀 I wish they would close later like 7pm so I get to enjoy other parts of the park like the wild animal park. The food selections were very diverse and taste good! Everyone was wearing swim shirts and full body suit due to the rides and culture. I do not see anyone wearing bikinis. So don’t wear bikini unless you want to be stared at 😀
