**Jaisalmer Fort, Rajasthan** is one of the most beautiful forts I have seen! 🏰💛 The entire fort is made of **golden-yellow sandstone**, and when the sunlight falls on it, the fort literally glows — now you know why Jaisalmer is called the **Golden City**. 🌅 What makes this fort even more interesting is that people still **live inside the fort**, with houses, shops, hotels and temples all within the fort walls. The narrow lanes, beautiful havelis, temples and detailed sandstone carvings make it really fun to explore. And don’t forget to walk around the fort and enjoy the city view from the top. Keep enough time to explore properly because there is a lot to see. **Must-visit place if you’re exploring Jaisalmer! 💛** #akashdurgoji #durgoo #durgoooriginals #durgooexplores

Jaisalmer Fort is absolutely breathtaking! 🤩 I highly recommend visiting early to capture the best photos without the crowds. Getting a guide for 300-400 Rs. was incredibly helpful. ✨ Avoid shopping inside the fort area, Definitely shop in the local market for better deals and enjoy the amazing city views from nearby restaurants. 🍽️ A truly unforgettable experience! 💖 For more details you can visit my Instagram: travel_with_burzin

This is a living fort with guest houses and rooftop cafes. The market here is really good, with many small shops selling local handicrafts, clothes, and souvenirs. Walking inside the fort through the narrow streets feels amazing and gives a different vibe. There are many good spots for clicking pictures and exploring.Built with golden sandstone, the fort glows beautifully under the sun, earning it the name “Sonar Quila” (Golden Fort).one get a majestic view of city below,,ticket cost 200 Rs each,

A must visit and probably the most important thing to see in Jaisalmer. It's an amazing structure with elaborate courtyard and intricately carved buildings for the royals of the 15th century. The paintings and sculptures are fantastic and the people's housing embedded along the boundary of the fort with people still going with their daily lives is something extraordinary. The small shops selling textile handicrafts and traditional jewellery adds colour and shine to the narrow alley ways and gulleys. Best to visit in early mornings before the crowds throng the place. Don't forget to visit the Jain temples inside the fort complex for their breathtaking sculptures.

Jaisalmer Fort, also known as Sonar Quila or the Golden Fort, is one of the most unique forts in India, as it is still a living fort with people residing inside. Built in 1156 by Rawal Jaisal, its golden sandstone walls glow beautifully under sunlight, especially at sunrise and sunset. The fort houses narrow lanes filled with shops, cafes, temples, and traditional homes, giving visitors a vibrant cultural experience. Key attractions inside include Jain temples and royal palaces with intricate architecture. While the fort’s charm is undeniable, overcrowding and maintenance issues can sometimes affect the experience. Still, the panoramic views of the Thar Desert and the city below make it a must-visit destination for history lovers and travelers alike.
