Exploring the streets of Old Delhi
As soon as we landed at Delhi Airport, Jacob was there along with the hotel staff. In a super-luxurious air-conditioned bus, we reached our hotel in a matter of half an hour. As soon as we entered Radisson Blu Plaza, we were greeted with warm smiles and a refreshing welcome drink which I guess all of us needed at that time.
We visited the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk which would allow us to visit both Old and New Delhi’s famous tourist attractions. We took a local mode of transportation called a rickshaw to travel down the streets of India. To add the cherry on top, we went to a very famous Indian restaurant called Chor Bizarre. With stunning decor and an unabashedly Indian feel, we devoured butter chicken with an Indian bread called Naan. Opposite to what people outside India believe, the food was not spicy. Rather, it was full of taste. We ended the perfect day with a glass of curd beverage that is called Lassi.
