Day 1

The realm of adventure and excitement!

We are so fortunate to have a travel planner in our group. Since she knew we loved adventures and the sun, the places we visited throughout the 3-days were just the right amount of fun and relaxation. We first began our adventure at S.E.A Aquarium. It was one of the most unforgettable underwater experiences, with more than 100,000 marine species. Our favourite exhibit would definitely be the Ocean Habitat, the world’s largest aquarium. We could sit there for hours staring at giant manta rays, zebra sharks, and goliath groupers. However, there was not a moment to waste, we still have more activities ahead of us!

Next stop is the Skyline Luge Sentosa. We took the monorail from the Resorts World Station to the Beach Station, two stations down. This activity is definitely for thrill-seekers! The activity starts off by boarding the Skyride chairlift. It boasts fantastic panoramic scenery of Sentosa Island’s beautiful coastline. We hopped off and proceeded to the entrance. It was our first time riding the luge, but the friendly staff taught us how to steer and we were on our way! We had four thrilling tracks to choose from, the Kuppu Kuppu Trail, Expedition Trail, Jungle Trail, and Dragon Trail. The Dragon Trail for us was the most exhilarating for its twists, turns, and tunnels. We ended up racing and the fastest we went was at least 30km/hour.

Day 2

A unique play experience & Beach Hopping (Head rock VR, Chill at Tanjong Beach, explore Palawan Beach & Siloso Beach)

It was raining lightly on the second day and we were so glad Sentosa had a good mixture of indoor and outdoor activities. One of them is the Head rock VR, an indoor theme park that offers a unique play experience that promises an extreme adventure that is larger-than-life. We spent about 2.5 hours at the theme park with eleven thrilling attractions from jungle rafting adventures to various shooting games. Our favorite ride was definitely the Snow Blizzard, a heart-pumping dog sled ride. This was definitely the most immersive VR ride by far. The VR experience includes racing through a blizzard storm dodging falling rocks and balancing precariously on the edge of a cliff. To make the blizzard more realistic, two powerful fans were blowing at us which really upped the chill factor and realism.

When we left the place, it was already bright and sunny. Perfect for the beach! We hopped onto the monorail towards the Beach Station. At the Beach Station, there is a free Beach Shuttle service to bring you to the different beautiful beaches at Sentosa. Our first stop was Palawan Beach. This beach is known to be family-friendly. We crossed the rope bridge to the islet with a watchtower that provides a bird’s eye view of the beachfront. The turquoise lagoons here are also ideal for swimming. The next beach we explored was Tanjong Beach, known as the grown-up getaway. The beach is in an off-the-beaten-track location, the perfect beach for those looking for some quiet respite from the city buzz. We were hungry and got a snack at the famous Tanjong Beach Club (TBC) while basking in the sun for a good 3 hours. The beach club comes complete with an infinity pool and some of the comfiest daybeds you can find on the island. The last beach we explored was Siloso Beach, a magnet for adrenaline junkies and the reason why we loved this beach the most! We tried bungee jumping and zip-line. The best way to end a day!

Day 3

Making a big splash @ Adventure Cove Park

The last day of our adventure-filled trip started out hot and humid. What better way to beat the heat than at Adventure Cove Waterpark. There were seven thrilling water rides to choose from that will get your heart pumping. Thrill seekers like us enjoyed the Pipeline Plunge, where we plunged down an elevated chute and careen across banked turns and radical twists, before splashing out in a pool of water.

We spent half our day there before taking a trip down to Fort Siloso Skywalk. This is a newly-built free attraction on the island. Towering 11-storeys high and stretching 181 meters long, the Skywalk trail provides guests with a scenic treetop trek on the way to Fort Siloso. The bridge is linked to the historical Fort Siloso, where we managed to catch a guided tour for a detailed historical account of the area. By the end of the day we decided to find some nice places to dine and wine!
