Bali in Summer? This cheat sheet will change your mind.
Let’s be honest– when you think of summer holidays, Bali (Indonesia) is basically shouting your name from every corner of Instagram! Crystal-clear beaches, swing selfies and smoothie bowls the size of your head. But when I started planning my own trip, I hit a wall. No one was saying when to actually go or what Bali is really like in summer. Everything looked perfect online… but I wanted the real scoop!
As an Indian traveller, I was honestly sceptical. Was it just social media hype? Would the weather be too humid? How much would it all really cost?
Flashback to a random Wednesday at work– my colleague and I were daydreaming about bucket-list destinations (as you do), and of course, Bali came up. We both admitted we had spent hours scrolling but still felt clueless.
That’s when it hit me– if I was confused, chances are loads of other people were too!
Fast forward to me spending three epic weeks in Bali, in the middle of the dry season– chasing sunsets, getting lost in rice fields, trying (and failing) to surf, hiking volcanoes at 3am and what not.
Now, as an intern at Alike, I finally have the chance to share that experience– the real, unfiltered version of what Bali in summer is actually like– right here. Here, I have put together something I wish I had back then– a no fuss, totally honest, sunshine-filled summer cheat sheet!

Summer in Bali, Indonesia (May to September) is part of the dry season, making it the best time to visit.
