Edinburgh Fringe Festival

One of Scotland's and the United Kingdom's most stunning cities is the majestic city of Edinburgh. Its eclectic architecture, which combines medieval and neo-classical designs, gives off an unsettling beauty.

Its Old Town's marbled streets make you feel as though you've been transported back to the Middle Ages; they appear like they belong in a gothic novel. Important royal structures like the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Edinburgh Castle, the latter of which houses Scotland's Crown Jewels and the fabled Stone of Destiny, are located in this area of the city. It also exudes a sense of mystery, making it a fascinating site to explore at night when it is illuminated.

The best and occasionally the only way to go from the suburbs into the city center is by public bus. Buses are quite common and operate continuously. Taxis and Trams run otherwise during the day. Cycling is an easy and popular means of getting around as well.

Before traveling to the UK, you must apply for a Standard Visitor visa online. For up to 6 months, a Standard Visitor visa costs £100. You can apply up to three months before your trip. If you plan on visiting the UK frequently, you can apply for a long-term Standard Visitor visa instead.

For first time visitors, spending at least two or three days in Edinburgh is recommended, which will give people enough time to explore the city centre and see the main sites.
